I came to interior design after nearly twenty years in fashion, with a background in textiles and a lifelong interest in the way people express themselves through their homes. That experience still shapes the way I work today.
I founded Yasu Home because I wanted to create something more personal. I loved the idea of designing a one-of-one experience for every client and building a home around the people who actually live there.
My work is rooted in spaces with soul. I am drawn to pieces with a past, objects made by people, and things chosen with enough care that they might become future heirlooms. The sourcing and the hunt are a huge part of the process for me, and I believe a home becomes more interesting when it is allowed to come together thoughtfully over time.
Every project starts with getting to know the people who live there. I pay attention to how they use their home and what matters to them, then work to create something that feels deeply personal and full of life.
The best projects are built on trust. I want my clients to feel excited about the process and completely at home in the result.

What to expect
If you're hiring or thinking about hiring an interior designer, the assumption is that you need help in some small (or big!) way to bring your vision to life. Your home is personal - it is an extension of you. My role is to enhance what makes it special, mixing form & function while retaining your personality... All in a way that meets your needs!
Expect to tell me what your issues are with the current space, how you need it to function, the budget, any must-haves, and your style preferences. The discovery stage of the process is the time to share your loves, ideas, inspirations, and must haves. And if you don't have any, that's ok too!
From there, you just sit back and relax and let me do the rest!
