Pappas-Rudnick Residence

Project Sudden Valley

This fun and vibrant couple came to me in need of a private sanctuary that would give them a retreat from the demand of their children (of the 2-legged and 4-legged variety). Though this was to be their private space, the materials needed to hold up to the reality of a bustling household.

Operation Good Sleep

Our first order of business was getting draperies made.  These two are serious about their sleep and with so much natural light, plus a neighbor with a sculpture made of neon lights, the current situation was not working!

Key Pieces

Next up was new lighting. Bedside sconces were a big upgrade for these two readers.  We picked focused lighting with natural shades to complement the beautiful new overhead light that was handmade in Africa.

The Nitty Gritty

Once we had our anchor pieces picked, it was time to fill in with layers of rugs and bedding, burl wood bedside tables, and beautiful artwork.
